ACM-XFH 1050 Automatic Capsule Manufacturing Machine
1.8 Million capsules/day — high-capacity GMP-compliant softgel/hard capsule production.

Overview
The ACM-XFH-1050 is a hydraulic, fully automatic machine for manufacturing two-piece hard gelatin capsules (Size 0, 1, 2, 3, 4). Capable of producing up to 1.8 million capsules per day (35-40 pin bars/min), it automates the entire dipping, drying, stripping, trimming, and joining process. Built with a centralized hydraulic power pack, SS-316 dipping pans, and precise temperature control, it ensures GMP-compliant, high-volume production.

How It Works
- 1
Pairs of stainless-steel pins are dipped into a temperature-controlled gelatin solution, gelling a film onto each pin.
- 2
The pins rotate so the gelatin distributes evenly with no bead at the capsule end.
- 3
The pins travel through drying kilns where controlled-humidity air sets the film into a hard shell.
- 4
Stripper jaws remove the dried caps and bodies from the pins.
- 5
Stationary knives trim each cap and body to length, and the caps and bodies are pushed together into finished empty capsules.
Two-piece hard-gelatin capsule manufacture is one of the best-documented processes in pharma, dating to Arthur Colton’s 1931 dip-molding machine; the dip → dry → strip → trim → join cycle it established is still the industry standard. The ACM-XFH makes the empty shells.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a capsule-making and a capsule-filling machine?
The ACM-XFH makes empty two-piece gelatin shells by dip-molding. A filling machine separately doses powder or pellets into those empty shells — a different, downstream machine.
What capsule sizes can it make?
Standard hard-capsule sizes run 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (largest to smallest). The size produced depends on the pin/mold set fitted; confirm the tooling with MOI.
Why does temperature and humidity control matter?
Gelatin viscosity and drying-kiln humidity directly control shell wall thickness, moisture and brittleness — they are critical GMP quality parameters.
