You need a machine that delivers vacuum-assisted carton extraction and precise pulling rollers prevent feed jams
How It Works
- 1
A flat carton blank is drawn from a magazine by vacuum pickers.
- 2
The blank is erected into a square box and held by a forming tool.
- 3
The product (and any leaflet) is inserted.
- 4
Hot-melt glue is applied to the closing flaps, which are folded and tucked.
- 5
The glued flaps are pressed to set the seal and the finished carton is discharged to the outfeed.
Glue cartoning is a standard secondary-packaging technology — forming a flat folding-carton blank into a box, loading the product and sealing it with hot-melt adhesive for a tamper-evident closure. It sits at the retail-ready stage of the line.
Frequently Asked Questions
Glue cartoner vs tuck cartoner — what is the difference?
A glue cartoner seals the end flaps with hot-melt adhesive for a permanent, tamper-evident closure; a tuck cartoner folds and tucks flaps so the carton can be reopened.
Where does it sit in the line?
At the secondary-packaging stage, taking primary packs (strips, sachets, bottles) into a retail-ready folding carton — often just before an overwrapper or bundler.
What carton sizes can it handle?
Carton size and board weight are tooling-dependent; request the change-part range and min/max carton dimensions from MOI.
